
Cambodian Prime Minister visits China

Phnom Penh [Cambodia], September 15: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on September 14 left for an official visit to China, his first foreign trip in his new position.
According to Khmer Times newspaper , the visit lasted 3 days (from September 14 to 16), taking place at the invitation of Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang. In Beijing, the two prime ministers will hold official talks on bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, and preside over the signing ceremony of a number of cooperation documents.
The Cambodian leader will also pay a courtesy call and meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as well as Chief Commissioner of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (also known as Chairman of the National Assembly) of China Zhao Leji.
In addition to the official visit, Prime Minister Hun Manet will attend the 20th ASEAN-China Fair in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Mr. Hun Manet was approved by the Cambodian parliament as prime minister of the country on August 22.
