Apartment building explosion in Germany injures 3

Berlin [Germany], December 10: Three people were injured Saturday night when an apartment building was hit by a fire and a subsequent explosion in the western German city of Essen.
A woman, who jumped from a window to escape, was found seriously injured by firefighters arriving at the scene and was hospitalized with burns.
Initial findings suggest the incident occurred at around 10:15 p.m. local time (2115 GMT). The fire started on the first floor and then spread to other apartments, damaging two neighboring buildings.
