Hanoi [Vietnam], August 10: Despite their busy work schedules, Khanh Thi and Phan Hien decided to accept the invitation to participate in singer Le Quyen's music project.
Singer Le Quyen has just released "If Only You Were Me ," marking her return after the success of her album "Old Love Songs 6." The song portrays a mature woman who has experienced all the ups and downs of a relationship and chooses to let go calmly. This project also features the collaboration of Lam Bao Chau and the duo Khanh Thi - Phan Hien.
Why did Khanh Thi and Phan Hien agree to star in the music video?
According to the female champion, a few days before her trip to Germany, she received a phone call from Le Quyen, inviting her to participate. At that time, due to her busy schedule, plus the fact that she hadn't appeared in any music videos for a long time and had only taken on the role of manager and coach, she intended to decline.
Khanh Thi recounted: "I honestly told Quyen that I was going to Germany for an extended period in just a few days. The two days before that were packed with commercial shoots, leaving absolutely no time for rehearsals. But Quyen only said one thing: 'No, it has to be you.'"
According to Khanh Thi, after receiving the demo, she listened to it and loved the song, so she wanted to tell the story through dance moves . However, the couple's schedule was already packed, and they hadn't performed in a long time, so she suggested Phan Hien dance with someone else. At that time, Le Quyen insisted on inviting both of them to participate.
"Even right up until the day of filming, we didn't know where I would appear. The director was still calculating the shots. Meanwhile, I was filming commercials in the morning and then filming again in the evening. The night before, I didn't get home until almost midnight. My husband and I only had about 30 minutes to rehearse," she recounted.
Due to the pressure of her schedule, Khanh Thi admitted that there were times when she just wanted to give up because she couldn't think of any dance moves. But thinking about Le Quyen's affection and the product that the 8X singer had been working on for two years, she found more motivation to keep trying.
Sharing about the filming process for the project, Khanh Thi revealed that when they arrived on set, the dance champion and her husband had to change their concept. The movements therefore had to be adjusted to suit the floor covered in water. "My husband and I fell countless times, got soaked from head to toe, and were submerged in water until 1 AM," she recounted.
