Jakarta [Indonesia], August 27: Indonesian rescuers have recovered the bodies of three missing crew members of a boat that capsized off Barito River in the country's province of Central Kalimantan on Wednesday, a local official said Friday.
The boat, with four crew members on board, was carrying jerrycans of clean water, and was hit amid bad weather by high waves off the province's district of North Barito on Wednesday at around 6 p.m. local time (1100 GMT). A crew member managed to swim to the river bank and was rescued by people nearby.
RizaliHadi with the North Barito disaster mitigation agency told local media that the bodies of the three victims were found by villagers near a ferry port.
"The three victims were found at different times on Friday," he said, adding that they will be taken to a local hospital for further identification.
