Karachi (Pakistan), June 28, 2026 (ANI): Loud blasts jolted Karachi city as militant attack killed 03 Pakistani rangers on June 27, 2026. As least 3 Sindh Rangers personnel killed in attack on paramilitary forces building: Reuters cited Dawn. Witnesses heard a loud blast followed by gunfire along a major road in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar neighbourhood. Three militants were also killed in the cross firing following the blast: Sindh Inspector General Javed Alam Odho. Locals described the incident as scary and intense after they heard the loud explosions and intense shooting. “Such intense firing started that I was scared myself…” said local, “there were about two or three explosions inside”. This was one of the most notable attacks in Karachi since an explosion targeting a Chinese convoy in October 2024. Attacks in Pakistan’s major cities have become increasingly rare in recent years, but militancy cases have increased recently. Surge in militancy in regions bordering Afghanistan has raised concerns that violence could return to the urban centres.
