Jan 26, 2026
New Jersey (USA), January 26, 2026 (ANI): New Jersey braced for up to a foot or more of snow on Sunday (January 25) as a massive winter storm spread across the United States, bringing freezing temperatures, icy conditions and widespread risks of power outages to millions.
Forecasters said snow, sleet, freezing rain and dangerously frigid temperatures would sweep the eastern two-thirds of the nation on Sunday and into the week, disrupting travel and government operations.
Calling the storms "historic," President Donald Trump on Saturday approved federal emergency disaster declarations in South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, and West Virginia.
