Moscow (Russia) Artists of the Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Russia are performed for the first time on the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. They retold the complex story of the novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë —through the expressive language of movement. The play tells the story of two neighboring families. Ksenia Ryzhkova takes on the lead female role. Her character Catherine's childhood affection to Heathcliff grows into true love. Catherine's tender feelings for her are felt by her neighbour, the gallant Edgar Linton. His role is played by the choreographer-director Jonah Paul Cook. Students of the Sevastopol Academy of Choreography faced the challenging yet rewarding task of understanding and bringing their characters to life.
